Terre des hommes Germany is a Child Aid organization that works for the creation of a just and peaceful world for all children.
The Continental Coordinator will be responsible for managing the Continental Office, overseeing the management of funds, coordinating and implementing the Latin America programme in ten countries, strategy development, recruitment and capacity building of staff, regular reporting on activities and socio-political developments in the region, and liaising with other donors, various partner organisations and the Head Office in Germany
Requirements:
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in social sciences, international development, management or related fields. Experience of working at a senior level in a development orientated organisation, preferably in the context of children’s rights. Experience in staff management, financial management, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation of programs.
Excellent analytical skills and solution oriented. Strong communication, negotiation and conflict
resolution skills. Collaborative work with colleagues to achieve organizational goals. Excellent
knowledge of Latin American political and social issues. English and Spanish are the working
languages of the organization. Fluency in oral and written English is required. German would be an asset. Availability to travel throughout Latin America and Germany.

The successful candidate will be offered a three year contract.
